The Powelltown Residents Water Association took on the vital task of preparing Powelltown and its surrounds for emergencies, particularly bushfires, in 2011. A core group of proactive members did so with a strong desire and sense of obligation to share their knowledge and experience of the fire risk for the benefit of newer residents.
